Marcia K. Henry, Ph.D.
Marcia Henry, Ph.D., has 44 years of experience in the field of reading and dyslexia, working as a teacher, diagnostician, tutor, and professor. A past president of The International Dyslexia Association and former director of the Center for Educational Research on Dyslexia at San Jose University, Dr. Henry speaks frequently at conferences, and writes for and serves on the editorial boards of several professional journals. She provides professional development seminars on teaching reading and language arts and consults with several school districts and states on informed reading instruction. In 2000, the IDA awarded Dr. Henry the Margaret Byrd Rawson Lifetime Achievement Award. She has a doctorate from Stanford University in educational psychology. |
