Nicholas Martin
Nicholas Martin, founder and director of The Center for Accord, is a business development and conflict resolution specialist with extensive experience in the four primary services he offersmediation, facilitation, consultation and training.
Mr. Martin graduated in 1975 with a degree in clinical practices from the psychology department of the University of Hartford. After many years as a juvenile court psychologist, counselor, and community educator, he has focused increasingly on group process in the corporate arena and in conflict prevention in specialized applications, such as work teams, school administration, and special education. He has done research on the impact for parents of raising children with disabilities and speaks nationally on the subject of special education. He has been providing highly acclaimed and practically oriented training for more than 25 years.
Mr. Martin has been authorized to mediate for several court jurisdictions and serves as a contract mediator for the U.S. Postal Service. He has also taught dispute resolution at the graduate school level.
