John T. Neisworth, Ph.D.

John T. Neisworth, Ph.D., is Professor of Special Education and Coordinator for Early Intervention at The Pennsylvania State University at University Park. He is the author of 12 texts in early intervention and special education and has directed 10 personnel preparation projects. Dr. Neisworth is founding co-editor of the journal Topics in Early Childhood Special Education and serves on its board of editors as well as on the boards of Journal of Early Intervention, Infants and Young Children, Child and Family Behavior Therapy, and others. He is Academic Coordinator for the Pennsylvania Autism Institute and the Pennsylvania Department of Education course sequence in applied behavior analysis. Dr. Neisworth’s present research focuses on family-centered approaches to early assessment and intervention.
