The Phantom Sleep Page presents useful information about sleep and sleep disorders, including snoring and sleep apnea, for the public, patients, and professionals. It contains articles, bibliographies, connections to research and support groups, and newsletters from patient education and support groups worldwide.
Sleep Home Pages: Brain Information Service
The Sleep Home Pages provide a comprehensive resource for individuals who are involved in the research or treatment of sleep and sleep-related disorders. They include discussion forums and links to other research-related information.

This home page lists resources regarding all aspects of sleep, including the physiology of sleep, clinical sleep medicine, sleep research, federal and state information, patient information, and business-related groups.
The Sleep Well
The Sleep Well was created as a reservoir of information on sleep and sleep disorders. It is also a wish that everyone may "sleep well" and obtain the wisdom to do so from these pages. It provides a calendar of important sleep events and meetings, information on sleep disorders, and a way to search Mental HealthNet for more information on sleep disorders.

Center for Narcolepsy Research at UIC Home page
In December 1986, the Center for Narcolepsy Research (CNR) at the College of Nursing was established with private funds along with overhead support from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) to help increase knowledge about narcolepsy, a disorder of excessive sleepiness. This web site provides information about narcolepsy, as well as links to other sites.
Children's Sleep Problems
The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry provides this Facts for Families page as a public service to assist parents and families in their most important roles. It provides a very brief overview of sleep problems in children.
Laser Surgery for Snoring and Sleep Apnea

Sleep, Dreams, and Wakefulness
The Jouvet Sleep Lab in France (which also is an interchangeable French/English language site) provides both clinical and basic sleep researchers with an admirable place to join in their community of interest. This site provides comprehensive resources for those involved in sleep research and the treatment of sleep-related disorders.
Stanford University Center for Narcolepsy
This site provides a great deal of information about narcolepsy from the Stanford University Center for Narcolepsy, including information about the center and its research.
The Treatment of Sleep Disorders of Older People
The National Institutes of Health Consensus Development Conference on the Treatment of Sleep Disorders of Older People brought together clinical specialists in pulmonology, psychiatry, psychology, geriatrics, and internal medicine; other health care providers; and the public to address the cause, diagnosis, assessment, and specific treatments of sleep disorders of older people. Following 1 1/2 days of presentations by experts and discussion by the audience, a consensus panel weighed the scientific evidence and prepared this consensus statement. |
